About SGF Decks

We connect Springfield, MO homeowners with local deck builders. We are not a contractor, we don't build decks, and we don't employ the builders we introduce you to.

How it works

When you send a request, we share it with up to 3 independent contractors who serve your area. They contact you directly, visit if needed, and give their own quotes. Any contract is between you and the builder you choose.

How we're paid

The service is free for homeowners. Contractors may pay us for introductions. That never costs you anything, and you're never obligated to hire anyone.

Checking a contractor

We can't vouch for any contractor's work. Missouri has no statewide general contractor license, so ask your city's building office (Springfield: Building Development Services) what applies, and always ask for insurance and a written contract. Ask for proof of insurance and references, and get a written contract.

Our content and photos

Our cost, materials and permit guides cite public sources. Where a number is our estimate, we say so. Photos are illustrative images, not projects by any contractor we work with. If you spot an error, tell us through the form.
